About Jacob

My name is Jacob Schupp. Welcome to my page! Scroll down to learn more about me.

Jacob is a recent graduate of John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time at John Carroll he studied Finance and Entrepreneurship. Outside of the classroom Jacob was committed to service, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness, faith and justice, and leadership. He served in many roles throughout manny of his organizations which included Student Government, Lambda Chi Alpha, Campus Ministry, Labre, Dance Marathon, and was a tour guide.

Before attending John Carroll University, Jacob grew up in Mercer, Pennsylvania where he attended St. Joseph Elementary School and Kennedy Catholic High School. Throughout his elementary and high school years he was involved in many activities such as gymnastics, soccer, basketball, tennis, theater, ski club, and a variety of service activities.

After graduating from John Carroll, Jacob worked in Cleveland at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where he served as a Development Coordinator for Walk MS. In this role Jacob worked on hosting 11 Walks throughout Northern and Central Ohio engaging with over 8,000 participants who planned to raise over $1,000,000. This work directly supports the mission of the National MS Society so that we can create a world free of MS and help ensure that people affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost, and end MS forever. However, those plans changed in 2020 with the pandemic.

In December 2020 Jacob moved to working at Cleveland Clinic. While there he supported the final stages of pandemic fundraising while looking toward the future of fundraising at Cleveland Clinic. That year the team planned to begin doubling fundraising annually from $200 million per year to $400 million per year within five years, a goal the team achieved that same year. Since then Jacob has focused on creating and implementing new systems, processes and structures to allow for efficient work that matches unprecedented growth.

Outside of work Jacob enjoys spending his time with friends and family experiencing all of the great things that Cleveland has to offer. In his free time Jacob serves on the Business Services Board of Directors Sub-Committee for Catholic Community Connection and is involved with the John Carroll University Alumni Association by serving on the Service Committee.
